This is a 7-inch 45 rpm "extended play" disc recorded by the Hampstead Parish Church Choir under Martindale Sidwell, who sing items (2)(3)(4); Sebastian Forbes (treble) sings solo in item (1) & with Andrew Ryan (treble) in item (2).
(1) A Virgin Mother (old Basque carol "Une Vierge feconde", arr. 1950 by Gerald Cockshott)
(2) The Holly and the Ivy (trad. English carol arr. Walford Davies)
(3) Past Three O'Clock (carol to old English tune "London Waits" temp. Charles II, wds G.F. Woodward)
(4) Whence is that goodly fragrance (trad. French carol "Quelle est cette odeur agreable", trl. A.B. Ramsay, music arr. 1930 by Charles Herbert Kitson (1874-1944))
The first item is with organ accompaniment; the remainder are a cappella.

These four items were also released at the same time on two Parlophone 78 rpm discs R.3947/48.
