is a member of Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc which is a
mixed choir from Lyon, France. The members are pupils at the Maîtrise
de la Basilique de Fourvière. Most Sundays they sing at the Cathedrale
de Fourvière. Under their current director Nicolas Porte they have
recorded several albums.
Jean-Baptiste Maurnier was chosen to play a lead role in the french film Les Choristes (The Chorus) and sings the treble solos. Jean-Baptiste was born on 22th December 1990 in Brignoles. He loves to play tennis and hates rap music. His father is a cameraman for French television. In the film he plays the role of Pierre Morhange, one of the more unruly boys that are tamed by the new teacher Clément Mathieu played by Gérard Jugnot. The film is a modern version of 'La Cage aux Rossignols' featuring Les Petits Chanteurs de La Croix du Bois which has recently been re-released in DVD format. For more details of both these films visit the Boy Choir Movie page. The success of the film has resulted in many concert and television appearances for Jean-Baptiste. He has also recorded a single 'Concerto Pour Deux Voix ' with a young girl singer called Clemence. He is still singing treble in this recording. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/pcsm/ - Official site PC Saint-Marc
