James Eager

Salvation Army junior member James Eager was the BBC Radio 2 Choirboy of the Year in 2002. He lives in Llysworney in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales with his family who are all accomplished musicians. Eleven year old James was a chorister at Llandaff Cathedral and attended the cathedral choir school. After winning the final, broadcast on BBC radio 2, James appeared on Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night and BBC's Songs of Praise. James was a guest soloist at the Royal Albert Hall in December 2002 for The Wonder of Christmas, The Salvation Army’s annual carol concert.The single shown here 'Song of peace' was his only recording as a treble and was written especially for him by Salvation army composer Darren Bartlett.
