He announced at the age of three that he was going to be a
chorister. He plays trumpet, euphonium, trombone and piano and enjoys composing. This year he has achieved distinction in Grade 8 singing"
Of course there is rather more to it than that, otherwise he would not have been featured so prominently as on this recording.
George sings with natural ability and always from the heart - hence our deliberate choice of ' A Song of Trust' as a motto for the whole recording. For the rest we let the recording speak
for itself.
George Bartle has sung in the Choir of Ely Cathedral for five years, and he relinquishes his
post as Head Chorister the day after completion of this recording.
His mother says (perhaps a trifle modestly of him!) of him: "George is just George. His greatest love is to sing in the Cathedral Choir,
and his only claims to fame are that he has been Head Chorister and that he is the
boy who wears braces! He announced at the age of three that he was going to be a
