Biography - Daumants Kalnins (Daumants Kalniņš)

Daumants enjoys singing, swimming, cycling, basketball, but whatever he does he does it profoundly.

In the album we can enjoy Daumants' voice in the light waltz, in Spanish rhythms, in the subtle "Piano". Daumants' interpretations are always full of character and colours.

Puccini's "Tosca", Ch. W. Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice" staged by the Latvian National Opera. Daumants has gained recognition not only in Latvia, but also abroad at numerous international choir festivals — in 2002 at the International Boys Choir Festival in Collegeville (USA) and at the 6th World Choir Music Symposium in Minneapolis (USA). In 2004 he got the first prize at the Latvian State Wind Instruments Competition and won the International Boys Solo Competition
