Anthony Way biography discography gallery video boy soprano treble music album Anthony Way shot to fame as a result of his portrayal of Henry Ashworth in the BBC production of the novel by Joanna Trollope called 'The Choir'. He was selected from 300 others and at the time was a junior choirboy at St Pauls Cathedral. The resulting soundtrack album reached No. 3 in the album charts and the single Panis Angelicus went platinum. Anthony was in constant demand for TV shows and large events, including singing ‘Panis angelicus‘ at the climax of the VE Day concert in London‘s Hyde Park, in front of the Queen and a crowd of 150,000 people and a worldwide TV audience of countless millions. Anthony Way's first solo album 'The Choirboy' was released shortly after. It was produced by Matt Clifford. It contained such a wide variety of material that it was excluded from the UK classical charts but nevertheless has become probably the most popular of Anthony Way's albums. Anthony way recorded a Xmas album 'The Choirboy's Christmas'. It was recorded in The Temple Church where Ernest Lough had become famous with his recordings 70 years before. His final album was recorded after he had left St Pauls and was at his new school environment at Uppingham, Rutland in January 1997 and was entitled 'Wings of a Dove'.
